This week, web host Webfusion purchased the hosting assets of XCalibre Communications, which was known for its entry level managed hosting packages. The rest of XCalibre’s assets will be transferred to Flexiant, which is a new company focusing on cloud computing services. XCalibre’s cloud computing product, FlexiScale, is likely to be continued through a partnership between Webfusion and Flexiant.
For XCalibre Communications’ customers, there should be no immediate changes to control panels, services or costs. However, Webfusion will take responsibility for providing web hosting. There’s a benefit to that: customers will be able to access support around the clock, along with the receiving service from Webfusion’s data center.
