Mobile users now have access to free video calling via Fring. The features depend on the handset you are using: because the iPhone 3GS’ camera is located on the phone’s back, you can only have live video going one way. On selected Nokia Symbian S60 devices, however, Fring does provide two-way video calling.

Fring allows you to connect with your contacts both on Fring and on Skype. Fring already offered free VOIP services for mobile users. It can be used on a variety of handsets including those running Windows Mobile, Symbian and Android. Fring managed to get its video conferencing technology ready before either Skype or Apple — two companies expected to provide solutions first.
