It’s very hard not to come across commercials for Rosetta Stone, a very expensive but pretty well-respected set of language learning software. It’s hard to believe that there are, in fact, other players in the language software spell.
Tell Me More is one of those players and their language software is garnering some good reviews on Amazon.com and beyond. While not offering nearly the language selection of Rosetta Stone (Tell Me More only offers software in nine languages) but the software is still very full featured.
There are over 850 hours of instruction and 4,500 exercises. Tell Me More also has built in speech recognition and a tool that helps users with intonation via a graphical interface. Some users have claimed that a basic foundation in the language is necessary, making Tell Me More appear not too beginner friendly. However, as a low-cost alternative to Rosetta Stone, Tell Me More is a winner.
