The John Lewis JLH3B3 3 Burner Gas Barbecue with Electronic Ignition
If you’d like a relatively inexpensive gas grill which looks fashionably functional and cooks brilliantly, you can’t go wrong with the John Lewis JLH3B3 3 Burner Gas barbecue. If the Weber Summit is the Bentley of the gas barbecue world, this cheeky little John Lewis model is a kind of VW Beetle.
Despite its compact size, it sports a generous 66 x 49 cm cooking area – unless you’ve invited the street along for a garden party, this is just fine for feeding the family. The rack, frame, hood and cast iron grill are all coated with tough, gleaming porcelain, making cleaning up a walk in the park. Rather elegantly, the base strut and side rests are made from German FSC Certified oak. It’s light and easy to manoeuvre with its two fixed and two lockable castors, and you can buy an additional rotary to go with it if you’re adventurous. For a little under $400, it’s irresistible.
