Editors Choice #1 in Loose Powder Eye Shadows

Not surprisingly, the number one product among reviewers in the loose powder eye shadow category is MAC. A trusted, trendy product, MAC also has a buy six, get a lipstick free program and the eyeshadow pots count. So when you run out of six of your favorite shades, you can return the empty pots and score a free lipstick.

Another plus for MAC is the deep pigments used in the eye shadow. This means that even the lightest colors show up clearly with one application. Of course, this means if you’re using it for daytime or everyday wear you need to use a light touch or you will find yourself looking like you’re ready for a party first thing in the morning. While the price was an issue, being able to find the perfect shade as you keep your eyes open for sales makes it all worth the small effort to get that perfect eye shadow at a good price.

Our first reviewer was absolutely thrilled with the product, stating, “MAC eyeshadow is expensive but definitely worth it.” She recommends the product for both everyday wear as well as a night on the town. With the MAC brushes, even the dark shades are able to be applied with a professional look, and one pot of loose powder will last up to six months of daily use.

Over on totalbeauty.com, reviewers are already in love with the MAC brand. From the deep pigments to the finishes these are very versatile eyeshadows. If you use a brush wet, they also double as liner for the eyes. The reviewer recommends starting off with the slightly less expensive multi-shadow palettes until you find the combination you will wear regularly, then invest in individual pots of your favorites.

The epinions.com reviewer said it best: “I was finally given the chance to experience my very first M*A*C (Makeup Artists Cosmetics) eye make-over while a few of my friends oohed and aahed over the color choices the somewhat aloof make-up artist used on me. At first, I was a bit worried about what my eyes would look like as she picked out shades I probably would not have chosen for myself. But she took her brushes and began blending away, and then next thing I knew, my blue eyes were practically popping right off my face!”
